This Fallout: New Vegas Mod Immediately Nukes NCR Soldiers Who Say They Want A Nuclear Winter
"Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter". I know for a fact that even if you've played Fallout: New Vegas for just five minutes, you just read that in an NPC's voice. For some reason, every NCR soldier thinks this is the funniest joke ever, and hits you with it if you so much as glance in their general direction. After the first few dozen times, it gets pretty old.
Thankfully, one fan has found a way to make all of their dreams come true. A New Vegas mod recently shared to Nexus Mods makes it possible to shut the soldiers up for good. Next time they say they're wishing for a nuclear winter, that's exactly what they'll get. A nuke will appear out of nowhere, destroying them and anything else in the vicinity.

"At long last, NCR soldiers can have their wishes come true", reads the mod's description. "With this mod installed, any NCR soldier who says 'Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.' will be immediately targeted by a nuclear strike. This applies to both exteriors and interiors."
As you can see in the video above, it's no exaggeration to say that the NCR now has something even worse than a nuclear winter on its hands. If the line is said while you're in a building, you better get out of there fast, as nothing inside is likely to survive the ensuing blast.
If you want a fighting chance, you can adjust how long it takes the nuke to get sent the NCR soldier's way when they utter the offending line.
