A new gaming-themed cookbook has just been released, providing fans with recipes pulled straight from The Witcher. Fictional dishes are nothing new in the world of video games, and CD Projekt Red's iconic fantasy RPG is no exception, with various food items able to give players an advantage over some of the toughest monsters in The Witcher 3.
The Witcher 3, like many other RPGs, allows players to collect various consumables that each have their own unique properties. Some of these in-game items provide players with immunity against assorted negative effects, while others grant buffs and bonuses in combat. While most of these consumables are potions or other mystical objects, there is a broad variety of foods scattered across the massive open world that also provide bonuses, typically health boosts. Some of these dishes are generic, such as bread loaves and cheese wedges, while others are more complex and specific to the world of The Witcher. While players cannot cook these dishes themselves, they can still collect them and consume them for various boons. There are several locations where these dishes can be found, but they are most often available in The Witcher's many brothels and taverns.
