The Witcher 3 REDkit beta sign-ups have been opened today, allowing users interested in testing the game's official modding tools before release to request early access.
As confirmed on Steam, those interested in trying out the modding tools can request access by heading over to the REDkit store page. Playtest access will be distributed in batches, and once granted, it will add the modding tools to the user's library. In addition, CD Projekt Red is also working on official Steam Workshop support for The Witcher 3, and users can help test it by participating in the dedicated beta.
The newly launched Steam Store page for The Witcher 3 REDkit also provided some additional information on the game's official modding tools, which are essentially the same ones used by CDPR to craft the game's content. The released screenshots also suggest the depth of the possibilities that will be offered by the REDkit, so it will be very interesting to see what modders will be able to come up with such powerful tools.
The Witcher 3 is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The REDkit modding tools will be released later this year.
