Some of the best Maxis creations are found on Gallery. While expansions feature most Townies, others are exclusively downloaded from the official Maxis account. This includes Sims that were only in trailers or box art, characters from past games, or even updated families. Adding them to your save can spice things up, create new stories, or allow them to simply become NPCs. It can be much faster than making several new Sims.
The major downside is that none of these families have existing relationships in. They aren’t friends, have no romantic history, and aren’t even rivals with anyone in the world. This can make it feel bizarre when they should have some kind of link to old neighborhoods or distant relatives. At minimum, consider moving them in with their intended house and get them a job that fits their background.
The Sul Suls consist of several Sims meant to represent careers in. None of them are employed by default, however, and it is up to the player to get them situated, either via the phone or through career cheats. Additionally, since there are seven of them, it can be very hard to find a suitable house with their low 20,000 Simleons.
All the Sul Suls are given traits to help their real jobs: George L’Ernitage and Ceous Leto are Scientists, Marcus Raven an Astronaut, Cole Henson a Bodybuilder, and Bill Wu a Programmer. Brett Stubbs seems to be more of a lazy grifter that wants money. Finally, Aileen Rauvu wants to harass others and would fit well as a Criminal.
Several of the background Sims from trailer were added to their own household. Many are meant to be NPC roles, which can be tough to achieve without mods. Still, each can also pursue an acting career and gain celebrity status of their own.
