The MCU's next superhero, America Chavez, saved the universe by dancing on a date in Marvel Comics. Excitement is building for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which promises to be the most spectacular adventure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to date. The Masters of the Mystic Arts are about to learn a lot more about the multiverse, and the first trailer even seemed to suggest there'll be an evil version of Doctor Strange to boot.
Fortunately, the MCU's Stephen Strange will have help from an expert in the multiverse. Doctor Strange 2 will introduce Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez, a hero who — like DC's Superboy Prime — can literally punch her way between the dimensions. America Chavez considers herself the multiverse's surgeon, responsible for preventing its collapse and protecting each dimension from its greatest threats. She's best known for her spectacular star-shaped portals, and in the past she's served as a member of Marvel's most powerful superhero team — the Ultimates.

Chavez recognizes she can't fix the problem from this side of the tear, and punches through to exo-space — the "neutral zone" that borders the different dimensions. She can usually seal these breaches with just a thought, but this one requires precision. She gives Lisa a call with her magic-boosted cellphone, and invites her to a dance.
