The Lord of the Rings Online's Midsummer Festival Is Back June 8th Through July 4th
The focus of Lord of the Rings Online has been squarely on the realm of Gondor as of late, and the celebrations for Aragorn and Arwen take center stage this week with the return of the Midsummer Festival.
While we've seen Gondor Renewed following the Downfall of the Lord of the Rings, Minas Tirith is taking on a more festive vibe as the Midsummer Festival comes to the White City. This annual festival brings quests to all corners of the city for players to enjoy as they celebrate the nuptials and the beginning of the reign of King Elessar Telcontar.
«The actual wedding ceremony between Arwen and Aragorn takes place in a series of quests associated with Volume V, Book 1 of the Epic Story. To get started with Volume V. Book 1: A Time of Celebration speak with King Elessar (Aragorn) outside of the Tower of Ecthelion in Minas Tirith (Midsummer) (22.4N, 56.0W). The wedding ceremony itself takes place in Chapter 7: A Wedding at Midsummer.»
A quick note — this is a special instance of Minas Tirith, so one cannot simply ride into the festival. Instead, you'll need to swift travel from one of many major stable locations from across Middle-earth to the festival itself.
The Midsummer Festival has been ongoing since 2020, when the in-game story finally progressed to that period in the War of the Ring. It's a fantastic way to take a break from questing and deeding around the darker areas of Middle-earth and join in on the celebration, earning seasonal rewards, such as cosmetics, musical instruments and more.
