The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is fondly remembered by many Nintendo fans as one of the best open-world games to be produced by the company in recent memory. Giving players almost complete freedom in how they want to tackle the story and setting of Breath of the Wild, the game gave players an experience they wouldn't soon forget. However, something that a lot of fans believe could've enhanced the game is the ability to play it with friends.
While it doesn't seem like an official multiplayer mode for Breath of the Wild will be coming anytime soon since Nintendo appears fully focused on Breath of the Wild 2, modders have given fans an unofficial way to play the game with their friends. Specifically, a modder known as Kirbymini has put together a multiplayer mod for Breath of the Wild, recently displaying their work in a video and revealing a release date for when Hyrule can have four heroes running around its landscape.

Kirbymini begins by showing off the split screen co-op ability of their multiplayer mod, with the video having the perspective of two different players at the same time. The game runs well as both players dash into the endgame area of Breath of the Wild at Hyrule Castle. As both players tackle the enemies there, the mod shows opponents' health bars taking damage from the two Links, while even allowing players to experience the same slowed time. This splitscreen version of this impressive modwill be available July 29.
