The all-star supporting cast of the Dungeons and Dragons series includes some favorite screen actors in fandom and a couple convention regulars. David Tennant (Doctor Who), Dominic Monaghan (Lord of the Rings), Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Felicia Day (The Guild), Tony Hale (Arrested Development), Gina Torres (Firefly), and Indira Varma (Game of Thrones) will all lend their voices in guest roles, though Amazon did not announce character names or plot details. They will support the main cast composed of the Critical Role members playing their original roleplay characters.

Critical Role is a wildly popular Dungeons and Dragons liveplay web series featuring some of the best voice actors working in video games, animation, and anime. Fans of tabletop gaming were immediately drawn to the skillful roleplaying and banter among the group of friends and professional actors. Starring Laura Bailey (The Last of Us: Part II), Taliesin Jaffe (One Piece), Ashley Johnson (The Last of Us), Matthew Mercer (Overwatch), Liam O’Brien (Naruto), Marisha Ray (Metal Gear Survive), and Sam Riegel (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), the web series was originally hosted on Felicia Day’s Geek and Sundry Youtube channel until Critical Role launched their own Twitch and Youtube channels. Today, Critical Role Productions oversees production and streaming on all Critical Role episodes, spin-offs, and even handles a tabletop gaming company.
