Sony has published a new Horizon Forbidden West trailer offering a glimpse at the variety of activities and challenges available to players.
These include taking on salvage contracts in the wilds, visiting melee pits in settlements, and discovering mysterious challenges and ruins.
“The open world of Horizon Forbidden West is a true playground for players,” reads the description for the trailer, which you can watch below:
“An expansive world full of danger and adventure – and Aloy will need a lot of tools, weapons, and skills to survive what her enemies will throw at her.
“In this special short, find out more about how Aloy can thrive and strategize in an increasingly threatening world.”
Guerrilla Games recently released the first last-gen Horizon Forbidden West gameplay footage, showing the game running on PS4 Pro.
The game was originally scheduled to arrive in 2021 but following a delay, the Horizon Forbidden West release date is now set for February 18, 2022.
It will be available for PS4 and PS5, with last-gen players able to upgrade to the new-gen version free of charge.
At CES 2022, Sony revealed the PlayStation VR2 specs and the hardware’s first game, Horizon Call of the Mountain.
The title is being developed by Guerrilla in partnership with new PlayStation studio Firesprite.
