The Last of Us remake, known officially asThe Last of Us Part 1, will launch on September 2 for PlayStation 5 with a PC version coming at a later date. With the release date for the highly-anticipated remake right around the corner, PlayStation has released a launch trailer for the game, showing off some of the winter scenes that take place a little later in the adventure as well as some of its more violent moments.

The latest Last of Us Part 1 trailer starts off by showing various winter scenes, including the segment of the game where players control Ellie. While Joel is the main playable character for most of the game, Ellie takes the lead role in the winter segment when Joel becomes indisposed. Ellie would later become the central playable character in The Last of Us Part 2, though in that game she is older with far more combat experience than she has in this one.
The rest of the trailer features Joel and Ellie taking on various enemies that they encounter throughout the game, including human enemies as well as the zombie-like monsters known as Clickers.
