There have already been a number of moments we will look back on in the first season of HBO's The Last Of Us adaptation and likely remember for years to come. Our first look at a live-action Bloater will definitely be one of them, and the actor inside the incredible-looking costume revealed some fans have told him they're attracted to the terrifying infected variant.
Adam Basil was the actor inside the Bloater costume and he recently told Entertainment Weekly how some people have been reacting to his first, and so far only, appearance as the formidable enemy. “He's captured a lot of people's imaginations. Someone asked me if I'd come to their wedding. I've had people sending me love messages,” Basil revealed, adding that he thinks the Bloater has somehow become “a bit of a sex icon”.

“He really brought out something in people that I don't think even they knew they had. He's the big daddy mushroom.” Whether the Bloater appears again in season one or not, hearing it described as the big daddy mushroom is something that will continue to haunt me for a while.
