Top-down CPU air coolers have been around for some time now but we don't see them in action besides some low-profile designs. That's mostly due to their limited cooling capabilities since the limited room can only provide so much headroom but Chinese brand, JIUSHARK, aims to change that with its new JF13K Diamond CPU cooler.
When we talk about Top-Down CPU coolers, prominent products such as the NH-L12 from Noctua and PH-TC14CS from Phanteks come to mind. But every once in a while, we see a new CPU cooling solution that stands out from the rest. The thing about these existing top-down CPU coolers is that they come with a single-fan design so there's not much space that you can work with. Noctua has a cool solution where they mount a smaller fan at the bottom of the cooler with a standard 120mm on the top. That's the most standard approach but JIUSHARK has a far more interesting solution as it deploys both fans on the front of the heatsink.
The JIUSHARK JF13K Diamond CPU cooler is a top-down design that features a finned aluminum heat sink with a total of seven heat pipes leading from the bottom base plate that sits over the CPU to the massive heatsink. The heatsink features two 120mm fans which are reduced to a height of just 15mm that operate at 800-1800 RPM with airflow rated at 23.46-64.51 CFM. The fans receive power through a 4-pin PWM connector.
JUISHARK has made sure that the top-down air cooler is compatible with all small form factor cases and motherboards. As such, the cooler measures 241x121x92mm and provides up to 59mm of clearance over the DIMM slots and 50mm clearance over the I/O cover. Since the top-down cooler is extended over the DIMMs and VRMs, the fans can provide additional airflow and cool them.
