The developer behind the popular shooter Valorant, Riot Games, recently confirmed that an overhaul for the map Fracture is currently in the works. According to the company, the changes are aimed at improving balance for both attackers and defenders.
The news comes from Level and Game Designer at Riot Joe Lansford who took to Twitter last week to describe what the company currently has in store for players. “So, Fracture’s been out for a year now. We’re working on a couple of changes right now,” Lansford explained in a short video.

“I’m not going to spoil too much but the high level theme is some general quality of life changes across the map and hopefully make A Site a little more defensible, maybe some changes around Dish to make that area a little more usable for both teams, attack and defense,” the developer said. “Look out for that soon.”
When the comments began to attract attention, Lansford went on to describe the change as more of a small tweak than a complete rework. “Just to clarify a bit, we're not really ‘reworking’ the map,” the developer explained on Twitter. “The core gameplay will still be the same. Like I said in the video, we're making quality of life changes and some updates around A and dish. Excited to get these out to everyone soon!”
Riot has not yet announced a release date for the updated version of the map. This of course has not stopped players from wildly speculating about who, what, when, where, and why in their heated anticipation.
