The ESA partners with ReedPop to run E3 2023

US video games entertainment trade body the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) is partnering with PAX organiser ReedPop for next year's E3.

The duo is set to hold the trade show in its traditional home at the LA Convention Center during June 2023. ReedPop is best known as the organiser of PAX as well as owning media brands such as GamesIndustry.biz and Eurogamer. 

"It is a tremendous honour and privilege for ReedPop to take on the responsibility of bringing E3 back in 2023," ReedPop president Lance Fensterman (pictured) said. "With the support and endorsement of the ESA, we're going to build a world-class event to serve the global gaming industry in new and broader ways than we already do at ReedPop through our portfolio of world-leading events and websites."

ESA president and CEO Stanley Pierre-Louis added: "We are thrilled to bring back E3 as an in-person event with ReedPop, a global leader in producing pop culture events. The past three years have confirmed that E3 convenes our industry like no other event. ReedPop brings world-class talent and a keen understanding of the video game industry, which will serve to enhance the E3 experience for years to come."

The ESA revealed last month that E3 would be returning in 2023 as both a digital and physical ever. This comes after the organisation cancelled the show in 2020 and 2022 due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, though it did hold a digital event in 2021.
