We're finally going to get more information about the upcoming sci-fi survival horror The Callisto Protocol next week. What we do know about the project is that it will include horror elements, similar to Glen Schofield's Dead Space series, and that it's set in the same universe as PUBG, but the connection is so loose that it's almost as if it's not there.
The news comes from Schofield himself, who recently tweeted, "If you don’t already follow @CallistoTheGame now might be a good time to start. Look for some news next week. Until then, here’s a closeup of one of the creatures from our world class character team. They’re incredible. Happy Friday the 13th! Get ready!" And once again, Geoff Keighley left the 'eyes' emoji on it.

Late last month, Schofield teased that it was almost time for a proper reveal of The Callisto Protocol. The director has been sharing project artwork featuring creepy looking creatures and a lot of flesh walls.
As mentioned earlier, the game's connection to PUBG isn't that strong, so don't expect to come across a guy with a frying pan. "We're helping PUBG Corp right now as a team of writers, working on the lore for PUBG and its universe," Schofield explained in an interview. "They have a timeline, and we fit on that timeline now. It's not going to be really deep, but there will be little connections here and there. We'll probably be referencing one another from time to time… It will make more sense once the game comes out!"
