Disney+ is set to air an episode of The Disney Gallery on The Book of Boba Fett in time for Star Wars Day. Premiering on December 29, 2021, The Book of Boba Fett was a highly anticipated series focusing on one of the most popular characters in the Star Wars franchise. Disney put a great deal of marketing behind the series, excluding its announcement from the Disney Investor Day Call in 2020 to instead allow for its reveal at the end of The Mandalorian season 2. A special titled Under the Helmet: The Legacy of Boba Fett also released on Disney+ prio to episode 1's debut on the streamer.
Now, according to The Direct, Disney+ is set to air an episode of The Disney Gallery based onThe Book of Boba Fett. The Disney Gallery is a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the Star Wars franchise. The Boba Fett episode will air on Disney+ on May 4th, 2022, which is also known as Star Wars Day. At the moment, this remains the only announced addition for Star Wars Day on the Disney+ service.

While releasing a Disney Gallery episode on The Book of Boba Fett for Star Wars Day is a certainly a treat for viewers, it is less than what many have come to expect for the celebration. Disney has tended to use May the 4th as a major launch day for Star Wars projects. In 2020, it was the release date of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars finale, as well as for The Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian. In 2021, Star Wars spinoff The Bad Batch premiered with a special 70-minute episode on May 4th.
