Elden Ring dominated the news today once reviews dropped, quickly becoming OpenCritic's highest-rated game of all time. We also got confirmation that Dragon Age 4 is in the middle of production, although we still have a long wait ahead for both it and the next Mass Effect game. More details below.
Between the Dark Souls series, Bloodborne, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, FromSoftware has established a reputation as being one of the best in the business, but Elden Ring promises to shatter even the highest expectations we had of them. Reviews dropped earlier today with perfect scores across the board, making it OpenCritic's highest-rated game of all time. Dragon Age and Mass Effect developer BioWare published a blog post earlier today, detailing how development on certain projects are going. In the post, BioWare explains that Dragon Age 4 is currently in the "middle of production", implying that the game is still pretty far from release. BioWare promises that more details will be revealed later in the year, although a release date being announced is pretty slim. At the same time, BioWare also announced that executive producer Christian Dailey would be leaving and leadership on the Dragon Age project would be changing.
In the same post, BioWare also gave us a pretty brief update on the development of the next Mass Effect, and we definitely shouldn't be expecting it until at least a few years from now.
