Bobby Kotick has been under fire ever since allegations about sexual abuse and workplace misconduct were made last year. People have been calling for his resignation as Chief Executive Officer at Activision Blizzard for months. The bad press now appears to have impacted his other dealings. The executive just agreed to step down from the board of directors at Coca-Cola, saying that he would be doing so in order to “focus my full attention on Activision Blizzard at this pivotal time as we prepare for our merger with Microsoft.” This comes in the wake of numerous shareholders demanding that he retire.
