A new set of posters for The Batman offer a terrifying close-up look at Paul Dano's Riddler mask and invites audiences to unmask the truth. The Golden Globe nominee becomes the latest actor to bring the iconic DC Comics to villain to life and the third for the big screen, preceded by Frank Gorshin in the Adam West-led Batman film in the '60s and Jim Carrey in Joel Schumacher's Batman Forever. The new Riddler features a different costume design than that of his source material counterpart, still retaining a green hue to his suit while moving away from the famous suit adorned in question marks.
The Batman will see The Riddler serving as one of the primary antagonists of the film as he engages in a murder spree targeting Gotham's elite population, including Bruce Wayne. The crimefighter, only in his second year of trying to clean up Gotham, also becomes embroiled in a deep web of corruption with ties to his family's past, requiring him to make new allies in order to bring everyone to justice. Matt Reeves is at the helm of The Batman, having penned the script with Bad Boys for Life co-writer Peter Craig.
