has been revealed, letting fans know when they can watch the Andrew Garfield-led sequel on the streaming platform.
The official Spider-Man Twitter account revealed that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be coming to Disney+ on Friday, August 11. This means that the sequel joins the first film, Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, Venom, and Spider-Man: Homecoming on the service.
“Confident in his powers as Spider-Man, Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) embraces his new role as a hero and spends time with Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) in between protecting New York from criminals,” reads the movie’s synopsis. “However, his greatest battle yet is about to begin. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront an enemy far more powerful than he is. And when his old friend Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan) returns, Peter comes to realize that all his enemies have one thing in common: Oscorp.”

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was originally released in 2014 and served as the sequel to 2012’s The Amazing Spider-Man, though the sequel was less well-received by critics than the first movie. It starred Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Campbell Scott, Embeth Davidtz, Colm Feore, Paul Giamatti, and Sally Field.
