Every year there seems to be a new isekai released for fans to sink their teeth into, however very few end up standing the test of time and becoming popular amongst the fanbase. Among them is That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, and Crunchyroll just announced that their movie That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime The Movie: Scarlet Bond will be releasing in 2023 in US theaters.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, is an isekai anime about a man who died and was reincarnated in a fantasy world as a slime (The name is extremely accurate). It's based on the light novel by the author Fuse, and the story is another power fantasy with an overpowered protagonist. The movie was announced swiftly after the end of its second season and fans have been waiting for news on an American release since.

While the anime follows the adventures as they happen in the light novel, the movie will be an original story written by Fuse himself. Season three should follow after the film’s release, and it will more than likely pick up at volume 7. However, this story has no content to read so its a treat for anime only fans and readers alike
