Techland Is Asking Weird Questions About Dying Light 3

It's been over a year since Dying Light 2 released, and developer Techland is now asking some weird questions about what we'd like to see in Dying Light 3. While the franchise director Tymon Smektała has made it clear it's not an official announcement of any kind just yet, it seems like there are already some discussions within the studio regarding where could the series go next.

Smektała shared a small Dying Light 3 survey on his Twitter page, explaining that there has been some chatting inside the team about, strangely, the potential profession of Dying Light 3's protagonist. As such, the Dying Light director asked fans whether they would be most excited if the hero of the imaginary game would be just a regular survivor of this world, a Nightrunner, a Pilgrim (like Aiden Caldwell), or a GRE agent who turned good for whatever reason.

Opinions were rather divided among the fans as well, yet after almost 6,000 votes, the GRE agent profession came on top by a narrow margin. The Global Relief Effort is an ambiguous international organization which plays a major role in the Dying Light universe and is known for its controversial medical and military research. Throughout the game, players cross paths with several former and current GRE personnel, including agent Kyle Crane, doctor Robert Lansing, and doctor Imran Zere. According to fans, playing as one of the former GRE agents "would be an interesting twist" in Dying Light 3, allowing us to learn more about the organization and its hidden motives.
