The Walking Dead spinoff series, Tales of the Walking Dead, will release in August. The original Walking Dead series premiered in 2010 and centers on a revolving cast of characters as they attempt to survive in the years following a worldwide zombie outbreak. The horror series proved immensely successful and is finally set to conclude after 11 seasons. However, multiple The Walking Dead spin-off series are in production to keep the franchise alive.
One such series is the Tales of the Walking Dead, an anthology show that feature new faces to the franchise as well as established characters. Each hour-long episode will present individual stories of different characters within the zombie franchise and will present the tales in varying tones and styles. The series is designed to expand The Walking Dead universe through the introduction of new characters while expanding the back stories of well-known characters.
