Rockstar owner Take-Two Interactive has possibly again hinted at a GTA 6 release no later than March 2025.
Last year, analysts suggested that the next entry in the largest gaming franchise could very well be released during Take-Two's Fiscal Year 2024, which ends on March 31, 2024. This speculation was based on the publisher's net bookings. Earlier this year, however, the publisher offered new forecasts for its upcoming fiscal years, showing lower expected net bookings in FY2024, thereby suggesting that, if these bookings are indeed related to the release of Take-Two's flagship franchise, GTA 6 is planned for release during FY2025.
Fast forward three months and Take-Two has now reiterated that it has major plans (or, at least, expectations) for its next fiscal year. The company's Chief Financial Officer, Lainie Goldstein, said as much during the company's most recent financial earnings call with investors some hours ago (via Seeking Alpha).
"In closing, we are confident that the actions our teams are taking this year are preparing us for a strong trajectory of growth", the CFO told investors. "Through our collective efforts, we continue to believe that we are positioning our business for a significant inflection point in fiscal 2025 that will culminate in us delivering new record levels of operating performance next year and beyond. We thank all of our stakeholders for their continued support, and we look forward to delivering on this exciting next chapter."
If Goldstein is indeed referring to the release of GTA 6 by mentioning "a significant inflection point" and "new record levels of operating performance next year and beyond" during Fiscal Year 2025, this would suggest that GTA 6 is planned for a release no later than
