Mario Day isn't until later this week, but Nintendo and major retailers are already offering big discounts on Mario Switch games, toys, and collectibles. Mario Day has morphed from a quirky one-day celebration into a week-long event containing some really great deals. If you're unfamiliar with Mario Day, the very official holiday is celebrated by millions of fans every year on March 10. Some genius figured out that March 10 stylized as MAR10 looks like the name Mario. Thus, Mario Day was born. Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, and the Switch eShop are all taking part in the festivities. We've rounded up the best Mario Day deals available now, but MAR10 will likely feature even more deals, so make sure to check back.
Most Switch games featuring Mario are on sale for 20 bucks off at major retailers. If you prefer digital copies, the eShop is selling many of the discounted games for the same price. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury is one of the standout deals, as it's the first time the stellar platformer has been on sale for $40. If you don't have Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, now's a great time to pick it up for $40 ahead of the first DLC drop (March 18) from the Booster Course Pass. And if you've been wanting to pick up Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, both the Mario and Luigi editions are on sale for 60 bucks.
While the game deals are the stars of the show, you can also save on Mario-themed Switch accessories, Lego sets, and various Mario toys and apparel. It's certainly possible that more discounts will pop up as we get closer to actual Mario Day.
