The Nintendo Switch keeps building in strength, in large part due to an incredibly impressive (and growing) library of exclusive games. In the five years since the Switch launched, there has been no shortage of excellent first-party games you can only play on Switch. And the upcoming slate of exclusives looks to be as strong as ever. We've rounded up the most exciting Switch exclusives that are currently in development, and many of these are scheduled to release in 2022.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land releases for Nintendo Switch later this month. The Pink Puff Ball's latest adventure takes cues from Super Mario 3D World in terms of stage design, which makes this the first mainline Kirby game to feature 3D platforming. Kirby's move to 3D will also bring new tricks, including the absurdly humorous Mouthful Mode, which allows Kirby to stretch his body around objects such as cars, traffic cones, and more. Kirby's iconic copy abilities will still be present, and this time around you'll be able to upgrade them into more powerful abilities. As you probably guess from the name, Nintendo Switch Sports is the latest game in Nintendo’s phenomenally popular sports series that started with Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort. Like the Wii titles, Nintendo Switch Sports features a collection of mini games based on competitive sports, including badminton, bowling, chambara, soccer, tennis, and volleyball.
