Microsoft has confirmed that it is currently experiencing a shortage in supply and demand for its range of Xbox controllers.

The kings of the black-and-green brand spoke about its hardware troubles in a recent statement to gaming outlet VGC, who had noticed a lack of stock online and in the high street. “We know it may be hard finding Xbox Wireless Controllers right now due to supply disruptions,” a Microsoft spokesperson told VGC. “We’re working as fast as possible with our manufacturing and retail partners to improve this.

Please check with your local retailer for availability.” The shortages appear to be most apparent in the UK and Europe, though North American territories are likely to follow suit if Microsoft is unable to ramp up production.

According to ResetEra users, stores in Australia and The Netherlands are also struggling to keep their stock cupboards plentiful.
