Warning! Spoilers for Superman & Lois Season 2, Episode 5
Superman & Lois has pulled a major twist with Bizarro that could completely re-contextualize his role and the role of cult leader Ally Alston (Rya Kihlstedt) in season 2. As Superman & Lois headed into season 2, heavy teases were made that the season would feature the monstrous creature Doomsday as its main villain. Despite this, Superman & Lois threw a curveball at viewers by revealing the subterranean presence as the Man of Steel's doppelganger Bizarro, with Tyler Hoechlin playing both roles.
While this was quite a twist on its own, Superman & Lois also seems to be repurposing Bizarro in another unexpected way. Season 2, episode 5, entitled «Girl… You'll Be A Woman, Soon» continued to pull back the curtain on the show's nefarious Ally Alston. While the episode dropped even more indicators of her as the villain known as Parasite, it also suggests that Bizarro himself might not be a villain at all.

Bizarro hasn't been terribly friendly to Superman and those closest to him since he arrived, with his confrontation with Kal-El and John Henry Irons a.k.a. Steel (Wolé Parks) leaving Superman's friend in the hospital. However, the alien language barrier between Bizarro and everyone else has kept his goals from being fully clear. «Girl… You'll Be A Woman, Soon» would remove that blockade by the end, and could suggest that Bizarro might not be the antagonist he initially appeared to be. In doing so, the episode also paints Ally in a far more villainous light than ever.
