Warning! Spoilers for Dark Crisis: The Deadly Green by DC Comics
Amidst the Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths, Superman and Swamp Thing will seemingly be merging into one hero, as Super Swamp Thing makes their debut in the upcoming one-shot, Dark Crisis: The Deadly Green. At San Diego Comic-Con, DC Comics revealed the new story, which will tie in with the current crisis event. The issue will see the Avatar of the Green encountering the Great Darkness once again, leading to Superman either merging with Swamp Thing or becoming evolved by the Green himself.
In the newly renamed Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths event at DC Comics, the greatest heroes on Earth are battling Pariah and the Great Darkness, who have formed their own dark army in their quest to control all that exists in the Omniverse. The Great Darkness, the true source of darkness in the DC Multiverse and the being behind every crisis, actually debuted in an issue of Swamp Thing. Now, the Avatar of the Green will be encountering the Great Darkness again, as his previously formed truce with the entity has Swamp Thing investigating why it has returned and why it's working alongside Pariah.

At San Diego Comic-Con, DC Comics revealed that Dark Crisis is actually the sequel series to Crisis on Infinite Earths and that the event is being renamed Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths. They also revealed three new one-shots, including Dark Crisis: The Deadly Green from Ram V, Joshua Williamson, Dan Watters, Alex Paknadel, and Daniel Bayliss.
