However, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate players looking for anything else in the version 13.0.2 patch notes will be left sorely disappointed, as the notes only covered the Sora Amiibo.
Though the version 13.0.2 update is the first major content update for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in some time, that has not stopped the game from bringing new content for players to enjoy. Throughout early 2024, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has hosted some new Spirit events to give players a chance to get Spirits that feature characters from other games, such as Hades and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, that were released on the Switch during and after the DLC production period for the game. It remains to be seen what other Spirits will be added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate following version 13.0.2.
However, the newest update to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate saw the addition of one thing only. Though not a big patch in terms of file size, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate version 13.0.2 was released on Valentine's Day. Players will need to connect to the internet to download and install the update. According to Nintendo, Super Smash Bros. By comparison, the previous version 13.0.1 update was the last major balance patch added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. That update arrived nearly two months after the reveal and subsequent release of Sora to the roster as the final DLC character for the game.
