Stranger Things season 4 has revealed a few important details in its character bios, with Mike’s description hinting at undoing his best season 3 change. Ahead of Stranger Things season 4, Vol. 1’s release date on May 27, Netflix released official character biographies on its Tudum website. Along with confirmations of which couples are broken up or still together, Stranger Things teased which characters will be at odds again in the new season.
While the majority of his focus has been on his friendship-turned-romance with Eleven, Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard) is notable in Stranger Things for his antagonism with some of his closest friends. Although friends fighting is normal, Mike and Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin) were almost always at odds during Stranger Things seasons 1 and 2, typically due to their opposing views on Eleven’s powers or welcoming Max into their party. However, Stranger Things season 3 finally saw Mike and Lucas on the same page, with the two characters becoming much closer over their shared experiences with their girlfriends Eleven and Max.

Mike finally getting along with Lucas was a great change for the teenage character in Stranger Things season 3, as he dropped much of his antagonism while simply trying to make amends with Eleven. However, Stranger Things season 4 suggests this dynamic was only short-lived, as Mike’s character biography teases that he and Lucas will once again be at odds.
