Netflix already spoiled the cliffhanger ending of Stranger Things season 4, volume 1. Stranger Things season 4 is the biggest yet — and not just because the show is finally straying far from Hawkins. Stranger Things season 4's episodes are longer than ever, and as a result, Netflix has split it in two. The first volume released on May 27, while volume 2 is due out on July 1.
Stranger Things season 4, volume 1 ended on something of a cliffhanger. Eleven finally confronted her repressed memories, and in doing so learned the truth about the monstrous Vecna. This reveal occurred at the same time as a confrontation between Vecna and Nancy in the Upside Down, leaving many viewers wondering whether she will survive. Vecna plays on fear and grief, torturing his victims with their past sins and repressed shame. Nancy's mind is a perfect one for him to enter, given her sorrow over Barb's death in season 1. A part of Nancy will always blame himself for Barb's fate.

But trailers have already revealed what will happen next in Stranger Thingsseason 4 volume 2. One shot shows Nancy in the Upside Down, now carrying a gun — clearly meaning she's going to escape Vecna's grasp. And another shot likely reveals how, with Eddie shown playing rock and roll in the Upside Down. Music disrupts Vecna's grip on his victim's mind; Max is unlikely to have any of Nancy's favorite tunes on her cassettes, so presumably, Eddie returns through the Gate to save Nancy.
This, unfortunately, is the problem with initially marketing Stranger Things season 4 as a block and then choosing to split the story up. The
