The Netflix show includes its fair share of violence in addition to the horror elements it brings to the small screen. With the premiere of the newest season of Stranger Things, Netflix executives have decided to add a trigger warning to the series premiere, which comes after the school shooting that occurred on May 24th at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, which ended in the tragic loss of 21 people — 19 being children and 2 being staff members. The trigger warning will appear for Netflix's US viewers, before the season recap that plays at the beginning of Stranger Things 4, prior to the first episode's opening sequence that could be found disturbing.
The first Stranger Things season 4 sequence was released prior to the new season's debut as a final teaser. The eight-minute first look graphically displays a massacre and shows the dead bodies of multiple children, with a lot of blood included, which is why Netflix chose to add the disclaimer
