Images from «Spock Amock,» the upcoming episode of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, reveal that the show is revisiting a classic episode of Star Trek: The Original Series. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds marks the 11th Star Trek series overall and serves as a spinoff from Star Trek: Discovery. The show takes place in the decade before the events of Star Trek: The Original Series and follows Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) and the crew of the USS Enterprise as they embark on adventures on a variety of alien planets.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has been a hit with audiences and critics, with many praising the show's smaller scale and accessibility to new fans. Despite appealing to newer audiences, the show has also proven itself popular with longtimeStar Trek fans as well, with the four episodes that have aired thus far containing plenty of callbacks and references for true Trekkies. In addition to Mount, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds stars Ethan Peck as Spock, Jess Bush as Nurse Christine Chapel, Christina Chong as La'an Noonien-Singh, Celia Rose Gooding as Nyota Uhura, and Melissa Navia as Erica Ortegas, among others.
