The developer behind immersive titles like The Elder Scrolls and Fallout 4 claims that its next game, Starfield, will have advanced persuasion options and incredibly advanced dialogue mechanics. Bethesda announced Starfield in 2018 and has stated that it will be released exclusively on Windows and the Xbox Series X|S. Microsoft recently purchased Bethesda's world-renowned studios for $7.5 billion. Starfield has received a release date of November 2022, but very little of the game has been shown to public eyes.
News for Bethesda's ambitious next-gen only title has been incredibly scarce. The lack of gameplay videos or substantial previews has made some fans fear that Starfield could be delayed. However, showing too much information has significantly hurt developers in the past. Cyberpunk 2077 infamously released gameplay trailers that showed many features that didn't make it into the game's release. This caused a tremendous amount of backlash and legal action due to misleading advertising. On the other side of that coin, games like Elden Ring didn't reveal much of the game leading up to its release, leading fans to achieve a wonderful sense of discovery when playing the game and uncovering its secrets. With Starfield set to release in less than seven months, Bethesda seems ready to share more information.
