A new mod for Stardew Valley is providing players with enough new content to almost count as a whole new game on its own. Meanwhile, the popular indie game's creator ConcernedApe is working on a brand new title, Haunted Chocolatier.
With ConcernedApe, AKA Eric Barone, hard at work on Haunted Chocolatier, there are understandably no current plans for future updates to Stardew Valley. In his absence, the community has continued to develop their own additions to the game. Although Stardew Valley is an extensive game, the community has long since been developing mods that add even more variety to the game. These can range from something as simple as a few extra crops, to additional NPC interactions, and even major overhauls of Pelican Town. One such mod adds a haunted chocolatier to Stardew Valley in honor of ConcernedApe's new title.

Now a new mod is going one step further. As reported by The Gamer, the descriptively-named Adventurers Guild Expanded does exactly what its name suggests. Creator SUPERT has added an incredible amount of new content to the game centered around the Adventurers Guild. This includes quests, story events, and new NPCs, two of which are romanceable. Gabriel and Zinnia, Marlon's niece and nephew, arrive in town to help run a new Monster Research Wing. Their father, Daniel, is similarly planned to become romanceable in a future update. They are introduced following the mod's opening quest, which is naturally to renovate the Adventurers Guild itself.
