Console players are kicking off the week with some fantastic news as has finally locked in a release date for the 1.6 Update on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and mobile. The massive patch may have dropped months ago for those fans on PC, but due to some unforeseen circumstances, developer ConcernedApe has taken longer than he'd have liked to get the new content onto every platform. The 1.6 Update is a huge improvement to the game and while console users have grown increasingly weary, their patience is about to pay off.
Posting to X (formerly Twitter), ConcernedApe confirmed that the console and mobile port of the 1.6 Update for is slated to arrive on November 4.
That's just over a month from the time of writing, and the community is actively sharing its excitement about the announcement despite the lengthy wait. No further information was shared but ConcernedApe has previously acknowledged that one of the reasons behind the delay is his need to ensure the release is as close to flawless as possible since it's usually harder to issue hotfixes on consoles.
