Greez Dritus might have been missing in 's promotional material, but now that he has shown up in the game's story trailer, something else has been lost: his upper-right arm. Greez often makes use of his four arms as the Latero pilot and cook of the Stinger Mantis crew. But despite his non-combat role and his attempts to avoid conflict, he shows up in battle-worn, with scars and a missing limb.
Greez's appearance shows just how much has changed for Star Wars 's characters since the events of. The upcoming sequel takes place five years after its predecessor ended with the retrieval and destruction of Eno Cordova's Holocron. The Stinger Mantis crew have an ambiguous, foreboding future ahead of them after this point; the Empire will continue to hunt them down regardless of the Holocron's state, but with it destroyed, they appear to lack a shared purpose or end goal. This opens the potential for them to split up, stick together, or even lose limbs (as is the case for Greez) in storylines that will have to follow up on.

The story of Greez's arm has already been told, though. In the recently released novel; which takes place during the period between and Cal Kestis is knocked out by the Fifth Brother in a duel. Greez then attempts to bring Cal into the Stinger Mantis while Cere Junda attempts to bring the Fifth Brother to the Light Side of the Force. However, the Fifth Brother is eventually able to take a swipe at Cal, but Greez jumps between them and takes the blow. Greez loses his arm in this interaction but, in doing so, saves Cal.
