The recent trailer for The Acolyte has prompted some fans to notice a certain casting trend when it comes to new characters in the Star Wars franchise. It turns out another beloved sci-fi series has been lending its talent to a galaxy far, far away.

But one fan on the Star Wars Cantina subreddit recently pointed out that one franchise seems to be the target for fresh talent lately. Now, whether intentional or not, it seems that Star Wars has been grabbing rather eagerly from the actor pool of the Matrix movies. The new trailer for The Acolyte prominently featured Carrie-Anne Moss, well-known as Trinity from The Matrix. But her appearance is actually only the latest in what may be a steadily growing family of Matrix actors making their way into Star Wars.

The original post made references to two other specific stars aside from Moss, though they're still super excited to see her in a role that seems tailor made for her. For one, it listed Genevieve O'Reilly who is currently known for her flawless portrayal of Mon Mothma in Andor.
