Warning! Spoilers for Star Wars: Han Solo & Chewbacca #4
A new Star Wars comic is settling whether Chewbacca is stronger than the intimidating Wookiee bounty hunter, Black Krrsantan. As Chewie is fighting to save Han Solo, he has no choice but to confront Krrsantan.
Throughout Star Wars lore, the physical strength of a Wookiee has been referenced many times, as they can supposedly pull someone’s arms out of their sockets. However, Chewie has remained a family friendly character on screen, making any violence he could commit difficult to imagine. Since audiences never saw him fight stormtroopers without his bowcaster, he never had to use brute force. With the live action iteration of Black Krrsantan introduced in The Book of Boba Fett, fans now have an idea of what Chewie is likely capable of with his bare paws. There aren’t many things he would find worth fighting for, but when his smuggler friend Han is threatened, he is quick to action.

As revealed by StarWars.com, the upcoming comic Star Wars: Han Solo & Chewbacca #4 will pit Chewbacca against his evil Wookiee counterpart, Black Krrsantan. He’s practically the Bizarro version of Chewie, as he is in a much more aggressive line of work as a bounty hunter, and has shed the cute Wookiee image. The issue’s synopsis and two released covers tease that he will have to fight Krrsantan to rescue Han. Han Solo & Chewbacca #4 is written by Marc Guggenheim, with art by David Messina, and features a cover by Phil Noto with a variant by Nic Klein. It is also set to include two additional variants by Chris Sprouse and Javier Garron.
