Warning: This post contains spoilers for The Book of Boba Fett episode 6.
A year ago, a clever Star Wars fan accidentally predicted the gift Din Djarin would get for young Grogu on The Book of Boba Fett. Disney+'s latest live-action Star Wars show has been underway since the very end of 2021, and it has so far yielded some mixed results. Fans were largely excited to see fan favorite bounty hunter Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) step into the spotlight for the first time, but The Book of Boba Fett has been rather slow in unraveling its story. The 7-episode series follows Boba and his right hand woman Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) as they wage a war to take over Tatooine's criminal underworld.
Despite that intriguing tale, The Book of Boba Fett's last two episodes have taken a major detour thanks to the surprise arrival of the Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal). Episode 5 followed Din's exploits following The Mandalorian season 2, while this week's «Chapter 6: From the Desert Comes a Stranger» saw him come close to reuniting with his pseudo-child Grogu. Ever since The Mandalorian season 2 finale, Grogu has been training with Luke Skywalker in the ways of the Jedi. Nevertheless, Din had a Mandalorian-minded gift to give him in The Book of Boba Fett: Beskar chainmail.

Though The Book of Boba Fett's special Grogu moment was only revealed this week, one fan accidentally predicted it a year ago. Posting on Reddit following the episode's release, khakipants117 shared a picture of their Grogu figure in chainmail. "Made this for my grogu a year ago, when I saw the new episode my jaw DROPPED," they wrote.
