Out of all of the canceled games, was one of the more memorable ones because of its impressive showing at E3 2012, one year before the Disney acquisition more or less killed it. Some bits and pieces have trickled out over the years, but now a gameplay video has leaked out, showing over three minutes of gameplay starring Boba Fett.
This leaked gameplay was uploaded from The Vault, a channel mainly focused on Free Radical’s , yet another canceled game. The video shows the bounty hunter walking through some market on Coruscant, a planet that has been featured or mentioned in other media like, , and. It then does a hard cut to an on-foot chase that is reminiscent of as Fett pursues his target and completes various acrobatic feats along the way. The video then ends with some unrelated snippets of other parts of the game like dramatic enemy death animations, more platforming, melee brawling, and various other animations that all takes place in a gray testing environment.
There are many unfinished textures in this footage and it’s only available in 480p, meaning it is a little blurry. But it does show what LucasArts was going for and seems like a natural continuation of what was in the E3 2012 demo.
This is not the first time has leaked out onto the internet. An animation test was uploaded to YouTube in 2016 and had some of the same footage seen at the end of the leaked gameplay. In 2020, Christopher Scott, who was a lead environmental artist on the game, uploaded some artwork on his ArtStation page, which also featured Coruscant. That same year, Reddit user LifeByTheSword also uploaded a screen shot of Boba Fett on the same planet and features the same HUD and general look of the leaked footage. Artist Gus Mendonça also
