According to TV Guide, Hwang Dong-Hyuk, the creator, director, producer and writer of Squid Game, tweeted an announcement in June 2022 sharing that there would be a second season of the popular series. This tweet gave some important information: «The Front Man» (Lee Byung-hun) and Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) (also known as Player 456) are coming back. These are two fascinating and well-drawn characters so this is great news. It's also hard to picture another season without them since they are so significant to the season 1 plot, message and theme.
