There are a lot of ways to get Nintendo's attention--put an emulator on Steam, develop fan-made games, mod Zelda, and the list goes on. What you probably shouldn't do is buy a Switch OLED on credit, sell it at a loss, purchase Nintendo stock, and then attend a conference, as this guy did.

"The company has blatantly given the boys in Splatoon the cold shoulder and I would like to see some improvement," the man said. "It makes me extremely sad when people say 'If you enjoy playing as a boy, then you won't enjoy playing Splatoon'".
During this complaint, the man broke down that while Splatoon 1 and 2 customisation was more limited, it was also more equal, but "in Splatoon 3, there is a lot more customisation, and there is clear favouritism towards girl characters over boys." He levied the hairstyles as evidence, claiming they aren't as diverse among boys, as well as profile icons and emotes which he believes were designed to look better on female characters.
He also shared his initial worries with Splatoon 3. He was paranoid in the build-up to release that it would feature zero male characters; "From the 2021 Fall Direct and all of the next year trailers always showed the girl character. There were people like me who were looking forward to playing as a boy, and every day [without seeing the boy character] we were filled with dread that we wouldn't be able to."
