Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was revealed in September of last year, showing off the new, more red suit, Miles Morales and Peter Parker teaming up, Venom, and more. But insider and media analyst Millie Amand claims that we'll be getting a look at gameplay soon.
The reveal trailer didn't show too much, bar a snippet of Spider-Man fighting with the four mechanical legs, as well as Miles Morales kicking bad guys to the curb with his electrical power-ups. However, Amand claims that gameplay is a step up from the first game, and a hit with Marvel.

"[Spider-Man 2] for PS5 is 'exceeding expectations' for Marvel higher-ups," Amand tweeted. "'Fluidity' and 'visual punch' is striking according to an employee of Marvel. Another employee thought they were watching a cutscene. Gameplay to be shown soon."
Some speculate that we could see more of Spider-Man 2 at D23, but it's more likely that Sony itself will reveal it in a PlayStation showcase - we'll have to wait and see. Regardless, there's been little in the way of news since Spider-Man 2 was unveiled, though we know that Candyman and Half-Life: Alyx actor Tony Todd started motion capture back in May, while Insomniac hired Subnautica: Below Zero Writer Brittney M. Morris way back in January. She also worked on the Miles Morales prequel novel.
We also found out in June that Spider-Man 2's art director is an MCU concept artist who worked on Thor: Ragnarok and Captain America: Civil War, but it's not their first time dabbling in games, as they also worked on Halo Infinite.
