Remnant: From the Ashes may be getting a sequel at some point in the future, as its developer Gunfire Games has recently filed trademarks for key phrases that indicate a follow-up game could be on the way. Releasing back in 2019, Remnant: From the Ashes is a Souls-like that received praise for its unique setting and approach to the genre. Remnant: From the Ashes received positive reviews when it released, which has had many fans wondering whether Gunfire Games would capitalize on that success by making a sequel.
Already, a prequel to Remnant: From the Ashes released back in 2020, entitled Chronos: Before the Ashes. Unlike Remnant: From the Ashes, which has the player and their friends team up to take down an evil entity known as the Root, Chronos: Before the Ashes sees fans enter a mysterious labyrinth to save the player character's homeland from a great evil. While Chronos: Before the Ashes received mostly middling reviews from critics, that doesn't mean that Gunfire Games would abandon the franchise, and perhaps rather than a prequel game, the studio has decided to delve further into the fight against the Root.

Now, it seems that there is the possibility of a new Remnant title being in the works, as a Reddit user known as LongJonSiIver discovered some interesting trademarks filed by Gunfire Games. One of these is for «Remnant 2,» while another specifically has been filed for «Remnant: From the Ashes 2.»While this may immediately excite fans, it doesn't necessarily mean that a sequel to Remnant: From the Ashes will be revealed anytime soon.
