Sony is adding more games to its Game Catalog lineup for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members in October. Higher-tier PS Plus users can pick up a whole lot of Assassin’s Creed, Dragon Quest, and more this month. all arriving on October 18.
As a refresher, Extra and Premium are the higher tiers of PlayStation Plus that offer additional games, including classic entries. Games in the Extra tier are downloadable for play. Classic titles are downloadable too, aside from PS3 games which use cloud streaming.
One of the headliners for this month is Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – The Definitive Edition. It’s from the newer remasters of the PlayStation 2 GTA trilogy.
But if you’d rather go on a quest this October, there is a whole lot of Dragon Quest available for just that. Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive age – Definitive Edition arrives for PlayStation 4, for some classic JRPG goodness. If musou is more your style, there’s the two Dragon Quest Heroes games.
Or if you’d rather build, you can check out either Dragon Quest Builders entry, all of which are coming to PS Plus Extra and Premium’s Game Catalog. (Play Dragon Quest Builders 2, it’s really, really good.)
A host of Assassin’s Creed and Hohokum rounds out those offerings. As for the Classics, it’s the Yakuza series taking up a few spots with the PS4 remasters. Limbo and Ultra Street Fighter IV are also part of the PlayStation Plus Premium Classics offering.
For older games, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and Everyday Shooter from the PlayStation 3 era are also on deck. Here’s the full lineup:
