More leaked footage of Sonic Frontiers' demo showcases a set of cutscenes that haven't been shown yet, along with a boss fight known as Squid. With public demos being available at in-person industry events, this allows fans to try out eagerly anticipated games like this in bite-sized portions. Sonic Frontiers had these demos at GamesCom, Tokyo Game Show, along with EGX London. While not every single doubt was squashed with these demos, fans who got a chance to play expressed a very positive impression, especially with its open-zone gameplay.
After the demos at GamesCom however, Sega has been directly forbidding players from recording footage of the game, due to some players being able to exploit a bug that let them get further than originally intended. Despite these restrictions, leaked gameplay videos of Sonic Frontiers still managed to find its way onto the Internet for fans to see, with one showcasing cutscenes and a boss fight.
Sonic Frontiers Demo Player Finds Reference To Sonic Movie
This gameplay was provided by GPF on YouTube, who had managed to get footage from Sonic Frontiers' demo at EGX. This compilation of clips shows off a few new things, such as a boss battle for Sonic Frontiers. This boss was shown off briefly back in June, where this video reveals its name to be known as Squid. Players can find it wandering the area, where they can then jump on the giant strip of road that floats behind it to start the battle. From there, players have to avoid its fireballs while running, before using a homing attack to stun it and fight it head on.
