Sonic the Hedgehog 2 actor Ben Schwartz appears as multiple video game characters in a new parody video of his audition for Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 picks up where the first instalment in the series left off. Sonic has now settled in Green Hills, but when Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) returns with a new ally Knuckles (Idris Elba), Sonic must once again stop his evil nemesis. The film sees director Jeff Fowler once again returning to helm the project, and since Sonic 2's release on April 8th, the movie has shot to the top of box office charts.
With the success of the Sonic the Hedgehog films, many fans have begun to speculate what other video games could be adapted into movies. In the past, video game adaptations have done notoriously poor amongst fans and critics, leading many gamers to worry every time a new video game movie is announced. However, with Sonic the Hedgehog 2 breaking the box office record for best video game movie opening, many fans are wondering if the time is finally right for more adaptations. Director Fowler himself has even hinted that he wouldn't turn down the opportunity to direct a Super Smash Bros. movie.

This concept has recently been turned into a hilarious video with Comedy Central. The video gives viewers a reimagining of what Schwartz's audition for the first Sonic movie may have looked like, with the actor appearing as himself. The video begins with an interview portion which goes comically wrong for Schwartz after which the casting director character has Schwartz wear a Sonic the Hedgehog onesie, and act as the character in front of a green screen.
