PlayStation Plus subscribers in some regions are getting two bonus games in October 2022. The Essential tier of the new PS Plus service works the same way as the previous model, so users get around three games every month. Furthermore, gamers who can play these titles for as long as their subscription lasts. This is different from the catalog of games offered to Extra and Premium members, in which case fans need to purchase the game after they leave the service.
The free monthly PS Plus games for October 2022 were revealed a few days ago and starting October 4, PS Plus members can play Hot Wheels Unleashed, Injustice 2, and Superhot at no extra cost. Out of these three, only Hot Wheels Unleashed is available as a native PS5 app. While this seems like a solid lineup overall, it looks like PS Plus members in some countries will get access to two bonus games this month.

PlayStation Plus subscribers in Asian regions can download and play a total of five free monthly games for October 2022. In addition to Hot Wheels Unleashed, Injustice 2, and Superhot, PS Plus members in Asia also get Rogue Explorer and Crisis Wing. Rogue Explorer is a hack & slash roguelike, while Crisis Wing is a vertical scrolling shoot'em up. While Hot Wheels Unleashed, Injustice 2, and Superhot are likely the marquee titles for October 2022, Asia PS Plus members get a more varied lineup.
PS Plus members in Asia often get a bonus game every month. As an example, in June 2022, Sony added Can’t Drive This to the Asian lineup in addition to God of War, Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker, and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. They sometimes get a different game altogether, as Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons replaced Ark: Survival
